Self Shredding Acoustic Guitar

In 1988, a young teenager Ben Reardon had come across a robot playing guitar at the Brisbane, Australia World Expo. The guitar was a classical guitar and was able to play without any human assistance, it had inspired Reardon to create his own.

Fast-forward 27 years later and you have a piece of Art. Reardon had been able to create the instrument he had once dreamed of building. It features both an Ardunio and a Rasberry Pi, along with an RC servo for each string. Reardon calls it the worlds first “Network Time Protocol accurate, Internet of Things connected, Big Ben chiming grandfather clock, firewall log playing, door chiming, guitar playing robot.” We’ll just call it the self playing guitar…
